June 2026
Students had limited access to adequate infrastructure for secondary education. The lack of proper facilities restricted learning opportunities and academic growth. This was especially critical for youth preparing for future careers. Infrastructure improvements were carried out to enhance classrooms and educational spaces. The project aimed to provide better conditions for both students and teachers. These upgrades support more effective teaching and learning processes. Students will now have access to improved learning environments that support their education. This will increase engagement and academic achievement. It also strengthens their opportunities for future development.

About the Community

The community of Agua Zarca Abajo is a rural area where families live in simple conditions, with limited access to basic services and development opportunities. Its economy is mainly based on agriculture, with crops such as corn, beans, rice, and local fruits. The climate is warm and dry for most of the year, directly affecting agricultural production. Among the main challenges are poverty, social vulnerability, and limited access to healthcare, education, and proper sanitation. Additionally, the community faces infrastructure difficulties such as rural roads and community services, although some improvement projects have been developed.
